Body, Mind and Spirit... Nearing 50 years here, and still haven't answered any of those "big questions" that have been bugging me since adolescence. You know, the ones like, "why are we here?" and "where's HERE anyway?" The cumulative spiritual experience of humanity might hold the key, but I have considerably less time available at the moment. It's almost too much to contemplate, yet this major journey began with modest aspirations: to explore in a short time, the roots of civilization and spiritual belief on this planet. Granted, it sounds more like a lifetime's work than a few weeks travel, yet to have lived without experiencing these places firsthand would be like missing something vital. So my plans took shape. |

All those frequent-flyer miles were burning a hole in my pocket. That would get us across the Atlantic. Then a friend wanted to barter a website from me for a week on their 50-foot wooden yacht in Turkey. Cool. Now I just needed to connect the dots.

Egypt was a must. The oldest
evidence of civilization, built with the most primitive of tools, and done as a testimony
to the deep faith of a people. This would be the place of my first steps on the continent
of Africa. It was here that the pilgrimage of Moses and the Israelites began. And so it was to be for us. |

Israel, the historic land of my heritage. A country that was born only two years before I was. The place that three major world religions consider most holy. In many ways, this was the home I'd never seen.

The Turquoise Coast. Who knew? As picturesque as the Greek Isles and sparsely settled, the Mediterranean coast of Turkey is a great secret we're about to reveal!
The greatest surprise of all has been the entrance of Laura into my life. Having her beautiful heart to share the experiences intensified everything. I am so grateful.
